Terms of Service
Fees are due in advance of the beginning of each term. Terms are between five and seven weeks depending on school term dates.
Payments are requested via bank transfer.
When learning any instrument, personal practice in between lessons is essential for progress to be made and practice suggestions will be made each week. It is helpful to bring a notebook for recording this to lessons, along with the music.
Purchasing music, tutor books and exam entry fees is extra to lesson fees and is the responsibility of the student/student’s parent or guardian.
Exam preparation and entry date for each grade will be at the advice and discretion of the teacher.
Parents are requested to drop off their child and pick them up at the end of the session as there is no waiting area inside.
It is the parent/pupil’s responsibility to attend lessons on time and to pick up their child promptly at the end of the session.
Owing to timetabling needs, once a block of lessons is booked, I am unable to offer refunds.
If a student does not wish to continue after a block of lessons has completed, there is no obligation to do so. However, three weeks notice would be appreciated, owing to timetabling needs for new and continuing students.
Except in exceptional circumstances, I am unable to refund lessons missed by pupils due to illness or appointments*. Lessons missed by me for any reason, will be given in lieu or refunded.
*Exceptional circumstances are solely at the teacher’s discretion.
